MoU Signed to Prevent Elephant–Train Collisions

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the project to provide technological solutions to prevent elephants from colliding with trains was signed yesterday (01) afternoon at the Presidential Media Centre, under the patronage of the Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake.

The project will be implemented as a Public–Private Partnership (PPP) with the coordination of the “Clean Sri Lanka” programme, in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Railways Department, Department of Wildlife Conservation, and Department of Forest Conservation, with People’s Bank providing full financial support.
